The Warren County Sheriff's Office is tasked with the providing security for the Warren County Department of Social Services (DSS). A security post was established in the DSS building in the summer of 2004. In just a years time, over 42,500 persons have passed through the DSS security post.
Six security officers conduct screenings of all persons entering DSS with the use of a magnetometer. Additional duties include building patrol, security surveys and working with uniformed law enforcement officers making arrest when a situation arises.
With the success of the security operation at DSS, the county expanded their presence to the Warren County Probation and Legal Aide offices.
